Thermo Scientific FirstDefender RM and RMX are the company's latest Handheld Raman instrument for rapid, accurate identification of unknown chemicals in the field. At less than half the size and weight of the field-proven flagship FirstDefender®, and delivering results up to 5 times faster, FirstDefender RM meets the demanding requirements unknown chemical ID.

FirstDefender RM is an all-optical Raman system designed for use by government medical boards, anti-counterfeit agencies, Industrial and chemistry personnel. Significant enhancements have been made in speed, performance, mixture analysis and user interface.

The FirstDefender RMX with the added flexibility of a fixed probe, can be mounted to select tactical robots or be used in handheld point-and-shoot or vial mode.
